New House

Hello Everyone! Sorry for being inactive but like i said before we have been very busy lately.I have really not  had that much time to do this because we have been going through another........MOVE!! Some of you already know this because we have shared it with you in advance because we were very excited and it is important to us.
      Moving has been very stressful for the whole family and something that we don't want to go through again.But we found a house that was great for the family and a lot better than the house we were living in,in willow.Lately life has been a blur and hard work because we have been moving,packing,and unloading.Something that is not that fun. but the whole family braved the ride and stuff are starting to settle down. ( FINALLY! ) Now here is some more info about what has been going on in the past 2 weeks.

Before we moved we went on a walk to hatchers pass.It was a nice walk that we ALL enjoyed.We saw Ptarmigan,Little Creeks,and beautiful Mountains! Here are the pictures that we took on the walk! I hope you enjoy!

Oh,I forgot to mention that our new house is in Talkeetna! It is a nice little Community and full of nice people.In the past week that we have been here a new person has come to our door each day! You would never get that in Anchorage or Willow!


       A big part of our move has been using U-Hauls! We have got them countless times sence we first moved from Anchorage.They are always packed full and it is some times uncomfortable rideing in the U-Haul,But the family has got used to it. Here are some pictures of the U-Hauls that we have got:

The new house is very nice and new.It was made around 2004 and only has had 2 previous owners,so it is pretty new.The family has grown to like the house in the week that we have been here.The inside is EXTREMELY nice but sadly we do not have pictures of it yet because it is still messy ;) We will have the pictures of the inside in the next post. The house is on a 2 acre lot and includes a house,shop,and a packed wood shed.So all together is fits most of our familys needs and at the same time is a nice house.Here is the pictures of the outside of the house and the stuff around it:

Today the Mountains were out and mom had to stop and take a picture of them! Here is the beautiful mountains picture!

Yesterday we had construction people clear out a pad for our conex. Here is a picture of the X-Cavator they used.

Thats it for know but there will be plenty more Hicks adventures to come!

New Adventure

Hello Everyone,I am very sorry that i have not posted in a month or longer!! But the reason is The Hicks Family is going to be going through another HUGE Event. I will probally get back to posting more regularely in about a week or two and i will tell you what the big thing is!

I hope you understand and please keep checking if i have made a new post because i greatly appreciate all the support you guys give me. Hope you are having a good time,and there is TONS more Hicks Adventures to come!!

Work At The Willow House

Hello everyone this is John Clark.Today was a average day but it had some important stuff to it too.Today katelyn got to change her Earrings for the first time.She was very exicted and has been waiting for 6 weeks to change them. Here are Some pictures:

After Katelyn got her Earrings changed we got a call from a man that we met the day before at the post office asking if we wanted to help him work.Me and katelyn accepted and then went down to his house to work.It was some tough work we had to stack wood,move wood,push wood,and so on.We stayed there from 1:30 to 4:15.Wow 3 hours! After we were done we each got payed 6 dollars.

Another thing i want to mention is how how much it has been raining! For the past 3 days straight it has rained here,never stoping. It makes you want to stay inside and rest all day,but of course we still have a lot of work to do so we have to go out and work through it.

The Move

Hello everyone this John Clark again. Just yesterday we went through the big move.We now are currently living in the Willow house! The mailing address is PO Box.466 99688 Willow,Alaska.We fianlly said good bye to the little blue house that we have been in for 11 years.We have a lot of memeries and at times we get emotional.
                                                                                                                     Me and Katelyn finally got back to home shcooling,we have not done it for about 3 weeks becuse we have been very busy moving everything.Every day we do Spelling,Math,DOL,Daily GeoVocabulary.It is a big adustment after not doing it for so long,
                                Sorry that I dont have any pictures of the new Willow house but i am planning to make another post including them tomorrow.
